WHY MEASURE SILICA?

Continuous Silica monitoring after anion and mixed bed ion exchangers in the water demineralization process ensures consistent water purity and efficient use of regeneration chemicals.

In the steam/water cycle of power plants Silica monitoring provides an early warning for turbine scaling, which decreases its efficiency.
IAC SERIES 1400 SILICA ANALYZER tracks silica levels accurately and reliably down to less than 1 ppb 24 hours a day, seven days a week.                                               

Calibration

The calibration is fully automatic using a known Silica standard. The zero-correction is done manually.
During the calibration the photometric response in the different stages of the color reaction is monitored to qualify both optical performance and chemical efficiency of the reagents.
